FlyerOS tracks each instructor's duty and flight time against a limitation scheme, and projects it forward so a booking that would breach a limit is stopped before it is made. Your school runs on a default scheme, and you can adjust the individual limits.
The scheme
A flight-time limitation scheme is a set of rules: how much duty and flying is allowed over a day, a week, and longer periods, with the required rest between. FlyerOS provisions a sensible default scheme for your organisation, and you can set individual limit rules to match how your school operates.
Forward projection
The point of tracking limits is to act before they are breached, not to report a breach after the fact. FlyerOS adds up an instructor's duty and flight time and projects it against the scheme, so a booking that would take them over a limit is blocked when you try to make it, with a reason. The same check runs again at the pre-dispatch gate, because the day rarely goes exactly as planned.
Where it shows
An instructor approaching a limit appears on the dashboard's Action Required list, so cover can be arranged in advance. Duty and rest are counted from the flights you close out, so the picture stays current without anyone maintaining a separate log.
