What counts as an aircraft on your bill
Exactly which aircraft are billed in a month, how simulators are counted, and what happens when one is sold or grounded.

An aircraft counts towards your bill for a month if it was active on your fleet register at any point during that month. If it was deactivated for the whole month, it is not billed.
The active rule
Billing follows the register, not the flying. An aircraft that sat unserviceable all month but was still on the active register is billed; an aircraft you deactivated on the last day of the previous month is not billed this month. What matters is whether it was active, not whether it flew.
Simulators and training devices
A simulator or flight training device counts as half an aircraft. Rooms, briefing rooms and vehicles are bookable resources but are not billed at all.
Selling, grounding or retiring an aircraft
- Sold or retired: deactivate it in the fleet. From the next month it stops being billed. Its history stays intact and searchable, deactivating does not delete anything.
- Grounded for maintenance: leave it active. It is still part of your fleet and still billed; it is simply unbookable until it returns to service.
- Brought back: reactivate it, and it is billed again from that month.
Checking your count
Your fleet list shows which aircraft are active. The number of active aircraft, times your tier rate, is your monthly figure, you can work it out yourself without asking us.
