What FlyerOS is, and how the pieces fit

FlyerOS is one system for running a flight school: the schedule, the operating day, training records, the fleet and the people, all sharing the same data. Change one thing and the rest knows about it.

The pieces

• The schedule holds every booking, aircraft, instructors, students, simulators and rooms. Before a booking is accepted it is checked against everything it depends on.
• The operating day is the live view of today: who has checked in, what has been dispatched, what is airborne and what has returned.
• Training records hold courses, the syllabus, and each student's progress and sign-offs.
• The fleet holds each aircraft's status, hours, defects and what is due next.
• People and roles decide who can see and do what.

Why "one system" matters

In most schools these live in separate tools, a calendar, a spreadsheet of hours, a paper training folder, a defect book. Nothing agrees, and the same fact is entered several times.

In FlyerOS they are the same records. A completed flight moves the student's progression, the aircraft's hours and the maintenance forecast together, because there is only one copy of each.
