Recording a solo authorisation
How to authorise a student to fly solo, what it lets them do, and how to withdraw it.

Record a solo authorisation to let a student be dispatched without an instructor, within the limits you set. Until an authorisation is in place, a solo booking for the student is blocked, so the authorisation is a real gate rather than a note.
Issuing the authorisation
Issue the authorisation against the student's record. It carries who authorised it, when, and any limits it comes with, the exercises or conditions it covers. From then on, the eligibility engine treats the student as authorised for solo flight within those limits.
What it changes
A student with a current solo authorisation can be booked and dispatched solo for what it covers. One without cannot: a solo booking is blocked with a reason, the same way any other missing requirement is. This keeps a real control in front of solo flying, rather than relying on someone remembering who is signed off.
Withdrawing it
Withdraw the authorisation when it no longer applies. From that point solo bookings are blocked again. Issuing and withdrawing are both recorded, so the history of who was authorised for what, and when, stays intact for review.
