The reports in FlyerOS are built from the flights, records and bookings you already keep, not from figures re-entered into a spreadsheet. So the numbers describe what actually happened.
Built from the operating day
Utilisation, hours by aircraft, lessons flown, exceptions and the rest are read from the records the day produced. There is no separate reporting database to reconcile, which is why the figures match the board rather than disagreeing with it.
Drill through to the record
A figure in a report is not a dead number. You can drill from it through to the underlying records, so a total for the month opens onto the flights that made it up. That is what lets you trust a number rather than take it on faith.
Exports for a board or an auditor
A report can be exported for a board pack, an accountant or an inspection, in a usable format. The export carries the same figures the screen shows, produced from the same records.
The everyday view
The dashboard is the at-a-glance view of the operation now; reports are for looking back across a period.
