The dashboards turn the day you actually flew into the few numbers you run the school by. Each one is a focused view, and they all read from the same records, so they describe what happened rather than a picture typed up afterwards.
The dashboards
- Fleet: hours flown, revenue per hour and defect rate per aircraft, so you can see which aircraft are earning and which are costing you.
- Instructors: hours delivered and how load and continuity are balanced across the team.
- Finance: debtor ageing, so you can see who owes what and how long it has been outstanding.
- Training: students at risk and how long they are taking towards a licence, so a stalling student is visible before it becomes a problem.
- Eligibility: how often bookings are being caught by the rules, and why.
One definition behind every number
Every figure resolves through a single metric definition. The dashboard on screen and the export you download are computed the same way, so they can never disagree. There is no second reporting database quietly drifting from the operating system.
Drill through to the record
A number on a dashboard is not a dead total. You can drill from it through to the underlying records, so a figure opens onto the flights, invoices or lessons that made it up. That is what lets you trust a number rather than take it on faith.
