Running FlyerOS in parallel
Trial FlyerOS alongside your current system before you cut over. Staff see everything; your students and members are not messaged until you go live.
Last reviewed
Parallel run lets you operate FlyerOS next to your existing system while you build confidence, without your students and members getting messages from two systems at once.
What changes in parallel run
While a school is in parallel mode:
- Staff messaging works as normal. Your team gets the notifications and messages they need to run the day.
- Student- and member-facing messaging is held back. Anyone who is not staff, students, renters, club members, will not hear from FlyerOS. No booking confirmations, no reminders, no announcements reach them.
So your team can enter bookings, close out flights, record counters and see the whole operation, and the people outside your staff carry on with your old system until you are ready. Nothing you do in parallel leaks out to them.
Going live
When you are confident, going live switches member-facing messaging on and starts your first-week checklist. From that point FlyerOS is your live system: the people you fly hear from it, and your old system can be retired.
There is no rush to leave parallel run. Stay in it as long as you need to trust what you are seeing.
